First United is in 4th Place and NERVOUS! Please Vote.
Voting is now open for the AVIVA Community Fund online contest. Would you please take a few minutes between October 10 and 19 to vote for First United’s entry? First United Church is located in downtown Vancouver and ministers to people living on the downtown Eastside.
It is only because of your dedication and perseverance that we are currently in 4th position out of 92 projects in our category.
The link is here: Vote for First United
We are still in 4th place (the top 5 get funded), and 5th place is gaining on us. Why we are concerned is because a) some projects have a surge of voters at the end and it's too late to counter; and b) we don't know how many of our current votes will be discounted due to people voting from multiple accounts.
If you have already voted, YOU CAN STILL HELP! Please share the link with your networks and on your Facebook page! Ask others to vote and share!
If you are having trouble voting because you registered but never received a confirmation email, here are two suggestions:
1. Go back to the registration page and LOG IN WITH FACEBOOK!
2. Click this link for technical support: Aviva Community Fund Voting Technical Support
I can't begin to express my gratitude to ALL OF YOU for your faithful and stalwart efforts on our behalf.
I know the website is a bother to navigate, THANK YOU for your persistence.
If you have any problems, please email me at carmen@firstunited.ca.
THANK YOU.
Blessings,
The Rev. Dr. Carmen Lansdown, First United Church Community Ministry Society
