United Church of Canada Act Tabled

The amendments to The United Church of Canada Act approved by the 43rd General Council are schedule to be tabled today (October 16, 2018) by Senator Peter Harder.

This legislation starts in the Senate (introduction, first reading, second reading, committee, vote) and will move to the House where it will be introduced by Rev. Rob Oliphant.  It amends The United Church of Canada Act (1924) to reflect the restructuring changes agreed to by the church over the past three years and enacted by General Council in July.
